Pmflex halogen-free pipes are significantly more resistant than PVC to high temperatures and are therefore much safer in the event of a fire as they do not emit hydrochloric acid, a toxic and corrosive smoke emitted when PVC burns. In addition, halogen-free products emit a minimal amount of dense smoke in the event of a fire, which makes escape routes and emergency exits much more visible.
